Wiki Page: Not a lot there right now, but...
Entry Point From Canon: Post-canon
Media Type: Movie

Powers/Abilities/Skills: Dr. Holtzmann is a brilliant nuclear and mechanical engineer, with particular expertise in applied physics vis a vis the paranormal. In other words, she makes really cool machines to detect, trap, and/or defeat ghosts. She also has a strong talent for problem-solving, fixing technical issues and upgrading equipment much faster than most engineers -- sometimes almost on the fly.

Heroic/Villainous/Neutral: Heroic. Holtzmann could easily come across as chaotic neutral, but she's firmly chaotic good. She loves being a Ghostbuster. At the end of the film, she calls the rest of the team her family and that she's found her purpose in life with them. Some of that is purely the love/friendship-is-magic aspect, but she also truly enjoys the heroing parts of the job. She sees what happens when the smart ones go bad with Rowan, and she wants absolutely no part of that, and not only because Rowan is lonely. Holtz clearly enjoys the positive attention when the Ghostbusters are being praised, but when they're discredited partway through the movie, she's also fine with continuing the work under the radar. She really, truly digs being one of the good guys.

I don't see this changing much for her in a new setting. While building strong relationships with people who are less firmly in the heroic category might certainly sway her, part of the reason she loves her team is that they are all good people. At most, she might come to realize that villains are also capable of loving and caring for others and even being brave, but I don't think that would stop her from really wanting to do what's right... On the other hand, if she got in deep enough with the kind of villain that thinks what they're doing is right, that might be another story (but she would probably have to remain unaware that they were on the CAD net).

Mentor/Journeyman/Rookie: I would call Holtz a Journeyman, not because I don't think she's firmly entrenched on the hero side of things, but because I don't think she's quite ready to guide someone else or lead independently. She functions best as a part of a team or a partnership and enjoys having the "Q" role. In fact, there are times she actively seems to prefer being a sidekick, particularly when it comes to things like talking with people.

Which Area(s) Of The City Interest You For Your Character? THE CITY OF TOMORROW. Not even a question. Holtz is just the kind of mad scientist that the City embraces, and she will flock there instantly. That's not to say that she won't be interested in other areas of the city -- and will in fact definitely want to check them out to satisfy her scientific curiosity if nothing else -- but the City of Tomorrow will be her home. In fact, it will probably be her #1 incentive to keep hitting the transport button.
